Bay of Bengal; Indo-West Pacific, from Taiwan to Indonesia (Huber 2015). Records of fossils from the Holocene in Thailand (Robba et al. 2002). Record in Thailand. Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea (Wells et al. 2021). Taxonomic remarks and comparisons. This species is recognised based on the descriptions and figures in Robba et al. (2002) and Huber (2015), specifically in having a solid, inflated, pronounced inequilateral, and subtriangular shell shape. Superfamily Mactroidea Lamarck, 1809
