Teacher Training and Inclusive Physical Education under analysis

Abstract

The April 1974 50th anniversary is a reminder of the substantial changes in the field of education in which, from the principles of exclusion and discrimination, the concept of education democratization was broadened to represent an important space for social advancement. Alongside the massification of the education system, the ideas of inclusion emphasize the need for schools to recognize the added value of the diversity of their students, finding ways to deal with differences, adjusting teaching processes to the individual characteristics and conditions of each student, challenging teachers to configure inclusive and equitable educational practices. Teacher training should focus on student-centered teaching, fostering inclusive education and collaborative learning.
