Abstract

Las investigaciones sobre Fuerteventura de cuyos resultados damos cuenta a continuación, enmarcadas en los proyectos Pasado y evolución futura de los desiertos y Climas del pasado (Unión Internacional de Ciencias Geológicas-UNESCO), deben mucho a Celso Martín de Guzmán. Algunos de los trabajos de campo que las sustentan se desarrollaron, en su momento, al amparo del proyecto de arqueología del territorio que él coordinó (MARTíN DE GUZMáN, 1990). Otros, fueron directamente impulsados y patrocinados desde su gestión al frente del patrimonio histórico canario. A su memoria queremos dedicar hoy estas páginas.
