Abstract

La lectura es un aprendizaje instrumental que debe ser enseñado con un método específico. En este sentido es importante conocer la interrelación entre los distintos subprocesos implicados. En este contexto el objetivo general de este estudio es analizar si existe una asociación o disociación entre las habilidades de lectura de palabras y los procesos de comprensión en alumnos de 2º ciclo de Educación Primaria y a partir de aquí analizar las implicaciones educativas de los resultados obtenidos. La muestra inicial la formaron 39 niños de 4º de Educación Primaria. Los pertinentes análisis de resultados mostraron como datos más importantes que: a) El nivel de comprensión lectora medido a través de la realización de inferencias (activación de la información textual) parece mostrarse independiente de otras variables (relacionadas con el léxico y el vocabulario); b) un bajo nivel léxico o de vocabulario (medido a través de pruebas estandarizadas) no implicará un bajo nivel de inferencias; c) la Memoria Operativa condiciona de modo significativo la eficacia en tareas de Conciencia Fonológica y de acceso léxico en general; d) existe una relación significativa positiva entre Conciencia Fonológica y acceso al léxico visual.
