Mais des obstacles pourraient la menacer : l’absence d’enseignement, l’amateurisme et la fragmentation. L’enseignement est envisagé dès la formation initiale. Trois objectifs visent à assurer la pérennité de la discipline : asseoir son statut à l’université, garantir une vision critique des sources et travaux et poursuivre de nouvelles recherches.

In Spain, the history of construction represents a separate discipline altogether, one that has been consolidated over the past twenty years through several dedicated events. It may, however, be threatened by some obstacles: the lack of teaching, amateurism, and fragmentation. Teaching is considered from the first years of study. There are three objectives to help ensure the discipline’s longevity: solidifying its status at universities, guaranteeing a critical view of sources and work, and engaging in new research.
