Abstract

Issues of academic competitions’ preparation and carrying are of great scientific and practical interest. A large number of papers devoted to academic competitions have been published in recent years. Developments devoted to academic competitions’ functions are of interest. Subject academic competitions’ 22 functions grouped into six main ones (humanistic, creative, motivation of educational activity, organizational, controlling, representative) are considered in the present paper.
