Abstract

El Plan Portugal es uno de los elementos más innovadores del currículo extremeño, convirtiendo a la comunidad autónoma de Extremadura en pionera en este ámbito al apostar por el portugués como segunda lengua extranjera. Se facilita el aprendizaje de costumbres y tradiciones de la cultura portuguesa y se favorece que la ciudadanía extremeña conozca otro idioma, además de la inclusión social y educativa y la diversidad de lenguas, culturas, costumbres y creencias (Matesanz, 2013). Este artículo muestra como el Plan Portugal se ha convertido en una herramienta de inclusión educativa en los municipios de La Raya extremeña tras haberse cumplido una década desde su implantación y la repercusión que supone el aprendizaje del portugués en la adquisición de las competencias plurilingüe. Ello se logra con una revisión y análisis bibliográfico inicial, tras el que se ha diseñado un cuestionario dirigido al profesorado de portugués participante en el Plan Portugal.
