This dataset contains the sampling design for throughfall data used for the analysis published in Metzger et al. (2017) and Fischer et al. (2023). It gives spatially distributed throughfall measurement points and their forest structural properties. The measurement points are grouped into randomly distributed “kernel” points and “transect” points which are not part of the random design. The field site and sampling design are described in Metzger et al. (2017). The throughfall data is given in an associated published dataset (Metzger and Hildebrandt, 2023).
Data were collected by project B02 of the Collaborative Research Centre AquaDiva of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) – SFB 1076 – Project Number 218627073

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
