Les forêts méditerranéennes regorgent de produits alimentaires sauvages aux propriétés uniques et exclusives

Abstract

Les forêts méditerranéennes regorgent de produits alimentaires sauvages (PAS) aux propriétés uniques et exclusives. Une proportion importante de la population vivant dans ces régions récolte et consomme des PAS, mais le plein potentiel commercial de ces produits n’a pas été débloqué. Alors que la demande pour les PAS continue de croître, des aspects tels que la production locale, la durabilité et la valeur sociale ajoutée attirent de plus en plus l’attention des consommateurs consciencieux. À cet égard, les PAS peuvent apporter une contribution significative à des bioéconomies intelligentes et inclusives ainsi qu’au développement de la région méditerranéenne rurale, à condition qu’ils soient traités de manière raisonnable. Pour cela, il faut veiller à ce que : a) la définition, la classification et la réglementation de ces produits soient améliorées ; (B) des solutions innovantes en matière de qualité, de sécurité et de durabilité soient vérifiées et mises à l’échelle ; c) les stratégies de marketing conscientes des enjeux environnementaux, sociaux et de gouvernance (ESG) soient encouragées ; d) des structures organisationnelles et des modèles d’affaires intégrés soient élaborés.
