Abstract

Trichothyas (Lundbladia) petrophila (Michael, 1895) Synonyms: Thyas petrophilus Michael, 1895 (original designation); Lundbladia petrophila Viets, 1929; Trychothyas armata Walter, 1935; Lundbladia plumifera Angelier, 1949; Trychothyas petrophila Viets, 1956 Type material: Holotype (Michael 1895), catalogue numbers (no differentiation by gender) deposited in NHMUK: 6549752 and 6550259 (GBIF 2022). Type locality: England: Cornwall, Land’s End (Michael 1895). Geographical distribution: England (Di Sabatino et al. 2010); France (Lundblad 1956); Iberian Peninsula (Borges et al. 2008; Valdecasas 1988): Portugal (Estremadura and Madeira Island); Spain (Cadiz, Gerona, Madrid); Mediterranean (Di Sabatino et al. 2010), Türkiye (Erman et al. 2010), Iran (Pešić et al. 2004). Distribution in Portugal: South: Estremadura (Valdecasas 1988), in Sintra-Monserrate Park and Palace (Lundblad 1956); Madeira Island (Borges et al. 2008). Ecological notes: Freshwater, slow and mid streams, thin water layers(Pešić et al. 2004), with some saltwater influence (Michael 1895) and vicinity of the marine environment. Trichothyas (Lundbladia) rutae (Lundblad, 1941) Synonyms: Lundbladia rutae Lundblad, 1941 (original designation); Trichothyas (Lundbladia) petrophila rutae (Lundblad, 1941) Type material: Holotype one female (Lundblad 1941b); Syntypes deposited in NRM: Male individuals, catalogue number NHRS-GULI000006564 and NHRS-GULI000006565; Females, NHRS-GULI000006566 and NHRSGULI000006567 (GBIF 2022). Type locality: Portugal: Madeira Island, in Caramujo (GBIF 2022). Geographical distribution: Portugal: Madeira Island (Lundblad 1941b); Spain: Canary Islands (Di Sabatino et al. 2010; Valdecasas 1988). Distribution in Portugal: Madeira Island (Hughes et al. 1998; Lundblad 1941b), in Caramujo (GBIF 2022). Ecological notes: Freshwater (Hughes et al. 1998)
