Since the advent of ICT, every sphere of our life has been impacted by it and education sector is also not left untouched. Technological advancement has changed the way of teaching and learning. 21st century has witnessed varied forms of online learning or e-learning. This is where Open Educational Resources (OER) comes into the scene. OER are the educational resources that are offered freely and openly to use, modify, and distribute for teaching and learning purposes. From National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), initiated in 2003 to VidyaDaan launched in April 2020 as a national content contribution programme to leverage the DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) platform during COVID lockdown phase, India has launched a number of initiatives to make education and learning accessible to all.India has come a long way in the field of online learning and OER but there’s a still a long way to go in order to provide quality educational resource materials to each and every student of this subcontinent.
