The article analyzes and highlights the importance of developing of emotional literacy in children of preschool age. Empathy is an important component in the formation of personality from birth. Its development is a necessary condition for further adaptation in the social world and interpersonal interaction. Emotional literacy is an important component of empathy, which must be developed from childhood through various forms of interaction. The presented methods are aimed at developing emotional literacy, increasing emotional vocabulary and improving the emotional intelligence of preschoolers. Paying attention to the fact that the child spends most of his life in society and receives emotional experience from his own environment. It is necessary to understand whether she interprets it correctly and how it can affect the further development of empathy in general.
