358. Libo Tube-nosed Bat Murina liboensis French: Murine du Libo / German: Libo-Réhrennase / Spanish: Ratonero narizudo de Libo Taxonomy. Murina liboensis Zeng Xiang et al., 2018, “Libo County, Guizhou Province.... (686m, 25°13'13.54" N, 108°01'51.89"E) in an abandoned cave (wenggen).” {( Murina liboensis appears to be related to M. cf. cyclotis (from India) and M. peninsularis based on limited genetic data. Monotypic. Distribution. Known only from type locality in Guizhou, SE China. Descriptive notes. Head—body 37-7-44- 5 mm, tail 31-5-38- 2 mm, ear 11-5-14- 4 mm, hindfoot 5-1-6- 4 mm, forearm 28-2-33- 6 mm; weight 4-5-5- 5 g. Fur fluffy. Dorsal pelage is yellowish brown (hairs with brownish gray bases and golden yellow tips); venter is lighter and grayer (hairs with grayish black bases and ash-gray tips), being browner near chin and sides of abdomen. Dorsal pelage extends sparsely onto wings, uropatagium, thumbs, and feet. Face is sparsely haired except for long protuberant naked nostrils. Ears are short, broad, and rounded, with smoothly convex anterior margins, no notch on posterior margins, and broadly rounded tips; tragus is long and narrow and tapers toward pointed tip. Wing attaches near base of claw on first toe. Skull is robust, with domed braincase and non-inflated rostrum; sagittal and lambdoidal crests are weakly developed; I? is lateral to I, and they are subequal in height; and C,is taller than P,. Habitat. All known specimens captured in abandoned cave surrounded mainly by evergreen broadleaved forests and thickets at an elevation of 686 m. Food and Feeding. No information. Breeding.
