It's known that the second half of the twentieth century brought a major leverage on the use of electronics for music composition, interactive media technologies have been producing an artistic and cultural revolution, they are giving birth to new art forms including immersive new opera and musical theatre. We present a human-centered gestural system for musical and especially vocal improvisation, Kinesthesis. We demonstrate the relationship between music composition and gesture and programming. A benefit of the system is the multimodal interaction technique through the invisible interface. which examines voice and electroacoustic techniques in a theatre context. It explores the effect of using recorded and digitally processed voice as sound sources for the development of music cues for playback through a multi-channel speaker system. We investigate human gesture in relation to electroacoustic techniques, by examining gesture as real-time control/expression. The project encompasses the development of a gestural controller/interface, for contemporary vocal performance and electronic processing.
