One of the long-term objectives of the EU is creation of common market that will eliminate trade barriers between EU Member States. The recently adopted EU Strategy for Energy System Integration calls for more integrated energy infrastructure based on innovative technologies, while the EU Data Strategy foresees the establishment of energy data spaces that will utilize semantic technologies. Web open standards for linked data and knowledge graphs are thus key enablers for more integrated energy infrastructure on the future.
