26. Benstonea monticola (F. Muell.) Callm. & Buerki, comb. nova. ≡ Pandanus monticola F. Muell., Fragm. 5: 40. 1865. Typus: AUSTRALIA. Queensland: around Rockingham Bay, 1864, Dallachy s.n. (holo-: MEL; iso-: P [P02138 396, P02138397]!). Distribution and ecology. – Benstonea monticola is restricted to the lowland rainforests (from sea level to 800 m) in northeastern Australia (Queensland) (WILSON, 2011).
