Found in lower reaches of streams, estuaries, in mangrove habitats, and in adjacent marine areas, 0– 2 m. Freshwater, transitional water and marine. DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Andaman Sea east to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Found in lower reaches of streams, estuaries, in mangrove habitats, and in adjacent marine areas, 0– 2 m. Freshwater, transitional water and marine. Ambassis miops Günther, 1872 —Flag-tailed glass perchlet STATUS AT MADANG. First record from Madang by Parenti & Allen (1991: 318). CAS and WAM material.
