Abstract

Platypalpus albicornis (Zetterstedt) Tachydromia albicornis Zetterstedt, 1842: 279. Material examined. RUSSIA: Krasnodarskiy Territory: Novonikolaevskaya, 40 km NNE Slavyansk-na- Kubani, 23.vi.1990, Nartshuk (3 ♂, 2 ♀, ZIN); Korenovskiy district, env. Kazatshiy, 25.v.2008, B. Volfov (1 ♀, KSU); Dinskoy district, 10 km N Vasyurinskaya, bank of river Kocheta, 22.v.2013, S. Nesterenko, V. Gladun (1 ♀, KSU); Tamanskiy Peninsula, env. Sennoy, steppe, 12.vi.2011, I. Shamshev (3 ♀, ZIN); same locality, beach of Tamanskiy Bay env. Sennoy, 9.vi.2013, S. Kustov (3 ♂, 5 ♀, KSU); same locality, 10.v.2014 (1 ♂, KSU). Distribution. Austria, Belgium, Britain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia (north-west of European part, Krasnodarskiy Territory), Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland. Remarks. The species is recorded from the Caucasus for the first time. This is a common lowland-restricted, spring-summer species, particularly active from May to June.
