In the last decade, media and education studies have pointed to a significant increase in discussions about media literacy, especially in digital environments. In this context, Scolari develops the concept of transmedia literacy to address a set of skills, practices, values, sensibilities and learning strategies (2018, p.5) that emerge from the culture of participation and media convergence. The aim of this paper is to conduct a literature review on the main approaches about transmedia literacy, to identify its main objectives, its dominant theoretical approaches and main authors, in addition to the methods, techniques and instruments adopted in these different studies. The collected corpus consists of papers published since 2008 using the keyword transmedia literacy as a parameter.
