Open Science Workshop, October 20, 2021 Open Science means making research processes and research results - including methods, processes, research data and publications - as accessible as possible. This is intended to intensify transparency, reusability and exchange with industry and society. In the workshop "Open Science - why and how?" on Oct. 20, the following questions will be discussed, among others: What is meant by Open Science/Scholarship/Research? For which problems in "traditional" science can Open Science offer a solution? What is the benefit (for me) of Open Science? Which Open Science practices can be used in everyday research? Which infrastructures and tools for Open Science exist? The speaker Dr. Katja Mayer is Senior Post-Doc and Elise Richter Fellow at the Institute for Science and Technology Research at the University of Vienna and Senior Scientist at the Center for Social Innovation in Vienna.
