Bibliografía de la gramática escolar argentina [BIGEA] (1810-1922)

Abstract

In this work, we present the general aspects and some preliminary results of the research group project "The beginnings of grammar for Argentinian schools (1863-1922)", financed by the University of Buenos Aires, which is the continuation of a first project known as "The configuration of grammar for Argentinian schools (1863-1922)", funded by the National Council of Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) between 2011 and 2016. This second project also falls within the disciplinary framework of linguistic historiography and has the general objective of broadly identifying theoretical, institutional and educational foundations of written grammar for Argentinian schools during the second half of the nineteenth century and the first quarter of the twentieth century (1863-1922). We first present the general framework in which this research takes place; that is, background, methodology, objectives and hypotheses. Next, we focus on the characterization of the first of the instruments derived from this project, the Bibliography of Argentinian School [BIGEA]. To do this, we present the criteria for the inclusion of works in the corpus, after reviewing its structure and composition, as we discuss the problems and solutions derived from the criteria adopted. Finally, we offer a series of examples of the type of bibliographic records that BIGEA will include.
