PROACTIVITY AS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR OF DEVELOPING THE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF THE UNIVERSITY TEACHER

Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of the development of the value component of the professional competence of the teacher − proactivity, analyzes different approaches of foreign and Ukrainian scientists to determine the definition of this important feature and also approaches to the ways of its formation (S. Covey, J. Miller, G. Allport, V. Frankl, S. Kalashnikova, S. Muterko, S. Pazdrij). The purpose of the work is to analyze the peculiarities of the development of proactivity as an important component of the professional competence of a university teacher, to show ways of diagnosing proactivity and ways to increase the teacher's motivation to develop this trait. The methods of research helped to structure and analyze the materials of national and foreign publications (theoretical), to develop and check the effectiveness of detection techniques, to stimulate the development of proactivity of higher education teachers (empirical). Conclusions. Each teacher should effectively apply the latest methods and techniques, demonstrate leadership qualities in the class­room and when interacting on the Internet. A high level of proactivity will increase his personal responsibility, set up to search for and find optimum solutions to non-standard situations in the educational process, ways of strengthening the motivation of students, interns and participants in thematic advanced courses. Proactivity as a value component of a teacher’s professional competence, as well as knowledge and skills-based component should be in constant development, because it is likely that the rate of professional burnout of a teacher depends on it. A motivated and active teacher who is satisfied with the results of his work will be less exposed to negative factors related to professional activity. ПРОАКТИВНІСТЬ ЯК ВАЖЛИВИЙ ЧИННИК РОЗВИТКУ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ КОМПЕТЕНТНОСТІ ВИКЛАДАЧА ВНЗ У статті розглядаються особливості розвитку ціннісного складника професійної компетентності педагога – проактивності, аналізуються різні підходи зарубіжних та українських учених до визначення дефініції цієї важливої риси та до шляхів її формування (С. Кові, Дж. Міллер, Г. Олпорт, В. Франкл, С. Калашнікова, С. Мутерко, С. Паздрій). Мета роботи: проаналізувати особливості розвитку проактивності як важливого складника професійної компетентності викладача ВНЗ, показати способи діагностування проактивності та шляхи підвищення мотивації викладача до розвитку цієї риси. Методи дослідження, що застосовувалися, допомагали структурувати та проаналізувати матеріали вітчизняних та закордонних видань (теоретичні), розробити та перевірити ефективність прийомів виявлення, стимулювання розвитку проактивності викладачів вищих навчальних закладів (емпіричні). Висновки. Кожний викладач має ефективно застосовувати новітні методи і прийоми роботи, демонструвати лідерські якості у навчальній аудиторії та під час взаємодії у мережі Інтернет. Високий рівень проактивності підвищуватиме його особисту відповідальність, налаштовуватиме шукати і знаходити оптимальні виходи з нестандартних ситуацій у навчальному процесі, шляхи посилення навчальної мотивації студентів, інтернів, слухачів курсів тематичного удосконалення. Проактивність як ціннісний складник професійної компетентності викладача, так само, як і знаннєвий, уміннєвий, має перебувати у постійному розвитку, бо цілком імовірно припустити, що від цього залежать темпи професійного вигорання викладача. Що вмотивованіший та активніший педагог, то більше він задоволений результатами своєї роботи, то меншого впливу професійних подразників зазнає.
