This paper is an effort to describe the landscape where hominid communities developed their activities in the Lower Pleistocene, in Orce, in the Guadix-Baza Basin (Granada). To that effect, we have combined Off-site Archaeology theories with predictive methodology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results obtained allow to give the hypothesis that the use early hominids made of the studied area during the Lower Pleistocene is closely related to the collection of abiotic resources, which flourish at different points of nearby reliefs.
