The lesson materials contain a shortened Latin text version of Cicero Ad Quintum fratrem I,1 prepared for intermediate learners (e.g. with vocabulary aids, introduction etc.) and ten pages of explicit vocabulary exercises tailored for this text and a specific core vocabulary (the most frequent 500 words of the so-called Bamberger Grundwortschatz: Adeo). The intervention study (pretest, lesson material, posttest) was conducted over a period of 4 to 6 weeks in two high-schools in Berlin, Germany (2018-2019).
