The grammateus project aims to produce a typology of Greek documentary papyri and to develop a digital instrument which will allow the display and comparison of models of different document types. Where previous typologies have concentrated solely on content, the grammateus project will take a more holistic approach, where the physical properties of the papyrus will be considered alongside the layout and content, allowing us to assess the relationship between them.
