Slides from Day 1 of the UCL Qatar Short Course, "Open Access and Open Knowledge." Slide deck covers the introduction to open licenses, with particular focus on Creative Commons licenses. Slides include an exercise for participants to become familiar with generating and applying Creative Commons licenses and preparing materials to deposit in an Open Access repository.
