Abstract

La Alta Edad Media: Marco Historiográfico propone una lectura crítica sobre la construcción del relato histórico en torno al período medieval europeo. Este volumen, parte de la serie Papeles de Trabajo, examina cómo se ha articulado la comprensión académica de la Alta Edad Media desde enfoques institucionales, teológicos y narrativos. Lejos de reproducir esquemas tradicionales, Agustín V. Startari plantea interrogantes estructurales sobre la forma en que se ha legitimado —y también silenciado— cierto tipo de pasado. El autor propone que la historiografía medieval es, en sí misma, un campo de poder: lo que se narra, lo que se omite, y las categorías empleadas responden a estructuras políticas, eclesiásticas y culturales cuya legitimidad debe ser constantemente problematizada. Mediante un enfoque transversal, el texto desafía la linealidad cronológica y expone las tensiones entre las fuentes, sus intérpretes y los marcos de sentido impuestos por la tradición académica occidental. Esta obra no es solo una reconstrucción del pasado, sino una crítica activa del presente historiográfico.
