Critical AI in der Digitalen Editorik

Abstract

Mit der gegenwärtig rapide fortschreitenden Entwicklung von KI-Technologien ergeben sich nicht nur neue Möglichkeiten, sondern auch Herausforderungen für die Theorie, Praxis, Konzeption, Aufgabenstellung und Rezeption digitaler Editionen. Auf verschiedenen Ebenen der Erstellung von digitalen Editionen hat KI bereits Einzug in den Workflow-Alltag gehalten (NER, semantische Erschließung, HTR), auf anderen sind teils grundlegende Fragen ungeklärt (z.B. XAI, Reproduzierbarkeit, Fehlerquellen, Training-Bias und FAIRness, Urheberrechtsfragen, ökologische Fragestellungen, Attribuierbarkeit und Nachhaltigkeit von KI). Das vorgeschlagene Panel versammelt Spezialist:innen für digitale Edition im deutschsprachigen Raum, um in einen Austausch über die Chancen, Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen von KI in der digitalen Edition und Editionswissenschaft einzuleiten. Teilnehmende am Panel: Prof. Dr. Tara Andrews (Wien), Prof. Dr. Thorsten Ries (Austin, TX; aus Dienstgründen: Online; AG germanistische Edition, Kommission für DH), Lisa Rosendahl M.A. M.A. (Mainz), Prof. Dr. Patrick Sahle (Wuppertal, IDE), Prof. Dr. Gabriel Viehhauser (Wien, AG germanistische Edition, Kommission für DH), Prof. Dr. Georg Vogeler (Graz, IDE).
