Abstract

The scientific collection "Communication Management: Strategic Creation of Communication Managers" is published on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the youngest specialty at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University "Communication Management" (established in 2018). The publication includes studies , articles and empirical research of lecturers, PhD students and scholars forming a scientific network around the specialty. The titles demonstrate the main fields of current knowledge in the field: about new perspective on communications and communication management training (Prof. Dr. Vesselina Valkanova, Prof. Dr. Teodora Petrova), from the research on the communication environment with the analysis on the media dynamics of the communication process (Prof. Dr. Simeon Vassilev), deliberative communication in the Bulgarian media environment (Prof. Dr. Lilia Raicheva), the balance between business and journalism in the management of media organizations (Ass. Prof. Dr. Aneta Milkova), theories and approaches for creating a successful communication campaign (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetlana Stankova), the dynamics in marketing communications (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Hristov), the role of the brand in communication management (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stefan Serezliev); through content management - the place of media green content for sustainable development (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manuela Manliherova), effective techniques in media coverage of political and social events (Prof. Dr.Sc. Milko Petrov), science communication and communicating scientific publications (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milena Tsvetkova, Doct. student Denka Dancheva); to communication management training with analysis of research and educational approaches to working with facts and data (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maya Vassileva), training in communication design and the new challenges of visual communication (Assistant Prof. Dr. Maya Stoyanova), training in computer technologies for future communication specialists (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Angel Angelov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Philip Petrov). The diverse and comprehensive contributions included in this collection not only provide insight into the scholarly pursuits of the department's faculty and the scholarly community around the Communication Management specialty - they demonstrate the accumulations and professional reflection of the collegium. Here the scientific contribution and contribution to the development of a new scientific field is combined with the conscious professional position, with the responsibility and commitment of colleagues to the current and important topics of communication, content, media management and strategic management in these areas.
