Abstract

* Claoxylon longifolium Baillon (1858: 493) Ecology: river valleys, evergreen forests; elevation: 200–1000 m (Huaxing & Gilbert 2008). Distribution: NE India, China, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea (Huaxing & Gilbert 2008). Specimens examined: Timor — Zippelius, A. s.n. (L [L.2201555]). Red List Assessment: Least Concern. Codiaeum variegatum (L.) Rumph. ex de Jussieu var. variegatum: de Jussieu (1824): 80, 111); Müller Argoviensis (1866: 1119, as ‘ genuinum ’) Codiaeum moluccanum Decaisne (1834: 485); Fawcett (1885: 517). Ecology: widely cultivated as a house plant for its very brightly coloured foliage (Bingtao & Gilbert 2008). Distribution: Peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia to Oceania; widely introduced (Bingtao & Gilbert 2008).
