This document, developed with the input of a large number of experts, aims to provide a framework for the efficient and effective ex situ conservation of cultivated and wild rice germplasm. The Global Crop Diversity Trust (“the Trust”) provided support for this initiative and considers this document to be an important framework for guiding the allocation of its resources. However the Trust does not take responsibility for the relevance, accuracy, or completeness of the information in this document and does not commit to funding any of the priorities identified. This strategy document (dated December 2010) is expected to continue to evolve and be updated as and when circumstances change or new information becomes available. In case of specific questions and/or comments, please direct them to the strategy co- ordinator, Dr Fiona Hay.
