Abstract

Se intentó evaluar el índice gonadosomático (GSI) de un pez indígena de agua fría Schizothorax richardsonii comúnmente conocido como "Asela" en Uttarakhand es una de las pesquerías deportivas más importantes del estado. El pez se inhibe en arroyos y ríos de las regiones del Himalaya y Sub-Himalaya. Se calculó el índice gonadosomático de las poblaciones criadas en cautividad y silvestres de Schizothorax richardsonii hembra y macho, que oscila entre el 5,72% y el 12,91% y entre el 1,80% y el 7,24% en peces hembra y macho criados en cautividad, respectivamente. El índice gonadosomático en reproductores silvestres oscila entre el 5,33% y el 14,10% y entre el 1,52% y el 6,74% en hembras y machos, respectivamente. El índice gonadosomático será útil, por lo tanto, da una idea sobre el nivel de madurez en los peces, así como la estimación de la temporada de reproducción.Copy Right, IJAR, 2018,

Une tentative a été faite pour évaluer l'indice gonadosomatique (GSI) d'un poisson d'eau froide indigène Schizothorax richardsonii communément appelé « Asela » dans l'Uttarakhand est l'une des pêcheries sportives les plus importantes de l'État. Le poisson inhibe dans les ruisseaux et les rivières des régions himalayenne et subhimalayenne. L'indice gonadosomatique des stocks élevés en captivité et sauvages de Schizothorax richardsonii femelle et mâle a été calculé qui varie de 5,72% à 12,91% et de 1,80% à 7,24% chez les poissons élevés en captivité respectivement femelle et mâle. Alors que chez les couvains sauvages varie de 5,33% à 14,10% et de 1,52% à 6,74% chez les femelles et les mâles respectivement. L'indice gonadosomatique sera donc utile, donne une idée du niveau de maturité chez les poissons ainsi qu'une estimation de la saison de reproduction. Droit de copie, IJAR, 2018,.

An attempt was made to assess the gonadosomatic index (GSI) of an indigenous coldwater fish Schizothorax richardsonii commonly known as "Asela" in Uttarakhand is one of the most important sports fishery in the state.The fish inhibits in streams and rivers of Himalayan and Sub-Himalayan regions.The gonadosomatic index of both captive reared and wild stocks of both Female and Male Schizothorax richardsonii was calculated which ranges from 5.72% to12.91% and 1.80% to 7.24% in captive reared Female and Male fish respectively.While in wild brooders ranges from 5.33% to 14.10% and 1.52% to 6.74% in Female and Male respectively.Gonadosomatic index will be helpful thus, gives an idea about maturity level in fishes as well as estimation of breeding season.Copy Right, IJAR, 2018,.
