ECOViP “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines” is a Strand 2 CBHE project that aims to develop entrepreneurial and innovation capacities for sustainable development in tourism in Vietnam and the Philippines. The project is fully aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus CBHE programme to improve the quality of higher education and enhance its relevance for the labour market, improving the level of competences, skills and employability potential of HEI students and stimulating the cooperation between institutions and the exchange of good practices. The initiative is also aligned with both countries’ priorities to improve the employability and entrepreneurship potential of their graduates and boost the Tourism sector (in particular through the fostering of more sustainable Tourism initiatives) which has been highly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, ECOViP specifically aims to:1.Promote the development of innovative interdisciplinary entrepreneurial Ecotourism projects by HEI students, in cooperation with the business sector.2.Develop a roadmap for the improvement of the education programmes in Tourism in cooperation with the business sector, to increase the employability of graduates. The consortium will achieve this through a series of well-designed and impactful actions that will contribute to:1.The development of the students Ecotourism projects, through the ECOViP competition & Bootcamp, during which time they will receive training, tutoring and mentoring from HEI & business sector staff2.A “roadmap for Tourism Curriculum Reform in Vietnam and the Philippines” in which partners will detail how the selected Tourism curriculum can be modified to meet the labour market needs and provide students with the opportunities to develop employability and entrepreneurship skills, while increasing the opportunities to learn about sustainable tourism options including Ecotourism.

"The project focuses on the modernization and development of curricula for the qualification students in transdisciplinary education system in the network with companies, research institutions and stakeholders of the region. The project strengthens European co-operation in transdisciplinary education and internationalization, which has been rather limited due to the strong scientific traditions in HE-education systems. This makes it possible to transfer knowledge about the transdisciplinary model to higher education and therefor enable the future generation of scientists and employees in enterprises to draw on synergies from different scientific directions. This seems necessary since environmental problems are rather complex and therefore need even more complex answers. Empirical studies on the needs analysis in the labor market are conducted in the participating PCs and competency catalogs are compiled. On the basis of the catalogs, curricula for the BA level are modernized by the development of modular thematic clusters, the curriculum for the transdisciplinary MA course ""Environmental Management of Fishery Enterprises"" is developed, modularized distance learning courses for continuing education of employees in the fishery sector are developed and the MA course is adapted for online-teaching. A centre of excellence for transdisciplinary env. education and vocational guidance (with eLabs as an innovative element) will be set up at PU for the highly debt-oriented design of the curriculum, training courses for university staff, professional orientation and networking in the local education landscape. Through measures for dissemination and sustainability, the model character of the transdisciplinaryl education in fisheries is supported and the transfer of the project results is ensured nationwide and internationally. The evaluation of the curricula of internal and external experts contributes to effective quality control."

« Bridging Digital Divide in Mongolia and Vietnam through HEI’s Digital Transformation », the DIGITAL MOVE project aims at implementing Digital transformation within Mongolian and Vietnamese universities through innovative teaching and learning methods and an active engagement with external stakeholders. Taking into account that Digital transformation is a « serie of deep and coordinated culture, workforce, and technology shirts », the DIGITAL MOVE project addresses Digital transformation at four levels: institutional, processes, individuals and communities. At institutional level, the project aims to foster institutional reforms including readiness in terms of digital skills and development of modern university services. At processes and services level, DIGITAL MOVE helps HEIs create and or reinforce specific departments to foster digital education through support for academic staff in digitally enhanced teaching and learning. For individuals, DIGITAL MOVE bridges the digital divide by developing digital soft skills through new learning pathways open to all: staff, students, lifelong learners (including private sector and civil society at large). Moreover, DIGITAL MOVE also aims to impact the communities at local, regional and national levels and pursues this objective by developing activities targeting the society at large and disseminating information, knowledge and good practices through Communities of practices. While it is true that digital transformation represents a great opportunity for our societies, it is also a significant risk of social exclusion. Indeed, the digital divide is already a reality that shoud be adressed. To tackle this challenge, the DIGITAL MOVE project focuses on bridging the digital divide by enhancing HEI capacities in digitally teaching and learning and making HEI main actor of Digital transformation in local, regional and national communities.

The overall aim of PrimeFish is to improve the economic sustainability of European fisheries and aquaculture sectors. PrimeFish will gather data from individual production companies, industry and sales organisations, consumers and public sources. The data will be related to the competitiveness and economic performance of companies in the sector; this includes data on price development, supply chain relations, markets, consumer behaviour and successful product innovation. The large industry reference group will facilitate access to data on specific case studies. A data repository will be created, and PrimeFish will join the H2020 Open Research Data Pilot to ensure future open access to the data. The effectiveness of demand stimulation through health, label and certification claims will be evaluated and compared with actual consumer behaviour. PrimeFish will assess the non-market value associated with aquaculture and captured fisheries as well as the effectiveness of regulatory systems and thereby provide the basis for improved societal decision making in the future. The collected data will be used to verify models and develop prediction algorithms that will be implemented into a computerized decision support system (PrimeDSS). The PrimeDSS, together with the underlying data, models, algorithms, assumptions and accompanying user instructions will form the PrimeFish Decision Support Framework (PrimeDSF). The lead users, typically fishermen, aquaculture producers and production companies, will be able to use the PrimeDSF to improve understanding of the functioning of their markets and in setting strategic plans for future production and innovation which in turn will strengthen the long term viability of the European fisheries and aquaculture sectors. This will also benefit consumers, leading to more diversified European seafood products, enhanced added value, novel products and improved information on origin, certification and health claims.
