
The plant epigenetics has been the contemporary topic of research and possible sources for obtaining the required traits for improvement of plant, genetic advancement and plant breeding. Generally, three different mechanisms are practiced to initiate and sustain epigenetic gene regulation. Different epigenetic concepts, mechanisms and their component, along with their relationship led to revolution in plants, resulting epigenetically controlled phenotype, and enabling their higher survivability and benefit to mankind. Thus, this review briefly depicts different components of epigenetics and their relationship, their mechanisms in accordance to crop improvement, which ultimately tries to relay its significance for human value.
