
EMPEROR FAIRY WREN Malurus cyanocephalus # Local name Man Fréfré (Sansundi). Range M. c. mysorensis Biak, Supiori; M. c. cyanocephalus Yapen. Status Biak endemic subspecies. Obtained by most collectors and seen by most visitors. Common and widespread; usually encountered in pairs in dense understorey of primary, selectively logged and secondary forest; sea level to c. 300 m (KDB; Supiori).
