Abstract

Leptodactylus guianensis Heyer and de Sá, 2011 Holotype: USNM 531509. Type locality: “ Guyana; Rupunini, Iwokrama Forest Reserve, Sipuruni River, Pakatau Camp, 4°45’17’’N, 59°01’28’’W, 85 m. ” Distribution: Region 5. Lowlands and uplands of Guiana Shield in Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and Brazil. In Venezuela, only from eastern Bolívar State. Remarks: Records from eastern part of Venezuelan Guayana previously assigned to Leptodactylus bolivianus are actually L. guianensis (e.g., Barrio-Amorós et al. (2011b) from Triunfo). In Leptodactylus latrans species group of De Sá et al. (2014). Selected references: Rivero et al. (1986); Barrio-Amorós et al. (2011b); De Sá et al. (2014); Señaris et al. (2014).
