
Boana punctata (Schneider 1799) Syntypes: NHM 155 (two individuals) Type locality: “ Surinam.” Distribution: Regions 3, 5. Widespread in South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, and Trinidad). Present in the open lowlands of Venezuela, except in Maracaibo Lake Basin. Remarks: In Boana punctata species group (Faivovich et al. 2005).
