
Margaretamys parvus Musser 1981 Margaretamys parvus Musser 1981, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 168: 294. Type Locality: Indonesia, C Sulawesi, Gunung Nokilalaki, 7400 ft (2256 m). Vernacular Names: Lesser Margaretamys. Distribution: Known only from 1830-2286 m in montane rain forest on Gunung Nokilalaki, but probably occurs elsewhere in mountainous C Sulawesi. Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable. Discussion: The smallest of the three species and the most divergent in cranial and dental traits.
