SeagrassTraitDB (https://seagrasses.ccmar.ualg.pt) is the first global database of curated seagrass traits that has been created to integrate seagrass trait data from around the world, based on datasets contributed by seagrass scientists. Data is stored in a consistent format, following community standards for metadata description and plant ontology definitions. It responds to the growing need for efficient database tools to bring together the rapidly accumulating seagrass data. It is based on the principles of global coordination, FAIR principles, and author acknowledgement. SeagrassTraitDB will provide large datasets for ecological research studies that use a trait-based approach to understand seagrass responses to environmental change, how their functional structure influences ecosystem functions and services, and how this can be applied to seagrass conservation. The poster was presented at the World Seagrass Conference 2024, Napoli, Italy, in June 2024.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
