Known from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela (Allen 1969, Packauskas & Schaefer 2001, Coscarón & Pall 2015, Linares & Orozco 2017, Faúndez et al. 2018, Cazorla 2021).
