
Daphnia (Daphnia) galeata Sars, 1864. A relatively rare planktonic species occurring in reservoirs (S36, S38), two lakes (S9, S21) and a pond (S12) in spring; in a single reservoir (A39) in autumn. A widespread Palearctic species that recently invaded Australia (Karabanov et al., 2018), common in China (Xiang et al. 2015; Huang et al. 2022). For description see Korovchinsky et al. (2021).
