Apostolepis ammodites Ferrarezzi et al., 2005 Type locality. Luís Eduardo Magalhães hydroelectric power plant, Palmas, state of Tocantins, Brazil. Distribution. Endemic to Brazil (Plt. 230A), restricted to the eastern portion of the Cerrado (Plt. 230A), mostly from mid to high elevations (Plt. 230B). Observed in the field in grassland and savanna on sandy soil (Ferrarezzi et al., 2005; Nogueira et al., 2011).
