REMARKS All the specimens examined show morphological characters similar to the type specimens of C. ferrarai as described in Campos-Filho et al. (2014), especially the number and arrangement of the dorsal tubercles. Moreover, as mentioned by the authors, this is the best character to distinguish species of Ctenorillo (see also Schmalfuss & Ferrara 1983; Taiti et al. 1998). This species (Fig. 22) was previously recorded from Gruta N5S 07, Gruta Cris 11 caves and Serra Leste cave system, FLONA Carajás (FLONA – National Forest), Canaã dos Carajás, Carajás geomorphological group, state of Pará (Campos-Filho et al. 2014). To date, it is considered to be a troglophile, visiting caves to exploit their resources and for their favourable micro-habitat conditions (Fernandes et al. 2016, 2019).
