Abstract

El docente especialista en Dificultades de Aprendizaje (DA) debe ser uno de los principales actores y promotores de la conformación de escuelas inclusivas para la atención a la diversidad. Una de las pioneras casas de estudio formadoras de estos profesionales es la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador, Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas. (UPEL-IPC). En este estudio se planteó determinar la pertinencia de la formación docente en DA de la UPEL-IPC, hacia el desarrollo de escuelas inclusivas para la atención a la diversidad; concluyendo con la necesidad de revisar el diseño curricular de esta especialidad para incluir competencias de formación donde se valoren las diferencias y la diversidad como elementos básicos de esta atención educativa. The specialist teacher learning difficulties (DA) must be one of the key players and advocates the creation of inclusive schools for dealing with diversity. One of the pioneers of home study training of these professionals is the Pedagogical University Experimental Libertador Pedagogical Institute of Caracas. (UPEL- IPC). This study was designed to determine the relevance of teacher training in the DA-IPC UPEL towards the development of inclusive schools for the attention to diversity, concluding with the need to revise the curriculum of this specialty with the aim of include skills training where differences are valued and diversity as core elements of schooling.
