THE CONCEPT OF GRAPHIC COMPETENCE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENT IN LABOR TRAINING LESSONS

Abstract

The article highlights the theoretical analysis of the concept of graphic competence of secondary school student in labor training lessons. The basic approaches to the definition of the term “graphic competence” in the works of domestic and foreign scientists are considered, taking into account the specificity of the environment of formation. Based on the analysis of the educational programs of the labor training and the drawing, the place of graphic preparation in the labor training within the framework of the project-technological activity is determined. The expected results of educational and cognitive activity of the student, aimed at forming graphic competency are distinguished. The study presents the approximate distribution of the content of the basics of the drawing by classes in the course of labor training. The stages of project-technological activity and their role in forming the student’s graphic competence are considered. It is determined that spatial thinking is the basis of formation the graphic competence of the student. In the framework of labor training, the formation of graphic competence is aimed at mastering the student's knowledge and skills necessary for graphical display of technical and creative ideas, at all stages of design and directly in the process of manufacturing the product. The author's view on defining the graphic competence of the secondary school student in the process of labor training is formulated as an important component in shaping the student's worldview skills. Further researches will be devoted to the disclosure of modern means, techniques, methods and methotology for forming the graphic competency of the student in the process of labor training.
