[Resumen] Objetivo: La Inteligencia Artificial (IA) ha tenido un importante impulso a partir de la primera década del presente siglo con la implementación de nuevos desarrollos, en el marco del proceso de transformación digital. El alcance de la IA llega a los más diversos ámbitos y supone un impacto crucial en el uso de las tecnologías y el comportamiento informacional. Se analizan estos efectos y se abre una puerta a la reflexión. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque: La metodología cualitativa adoptada comprende la revisión de literatura y el análisis descriptivo y exploratorio de datos recientes. Resultados/Discusión: La IA afecta el comportamiento informacional de los individuos en varios niveles, entre ellos, las formas y modos de buscar, procesar y compartir información, la actitud crítica frente a la misma, las capacidades cognitivas de los individuos. Conclusiones: Se apunta a la necesidad de la investigación y reflexión continua, con un enfoque crítico y constructivo sobre los continuos avances de la IA y sus efectos, hoy y en el futuro, en las competencias informacionales y en los profundos cambios sociales que necesariamente afectan al comportamiento informacional.

[Abstract] Objective: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has had a significant boost since the first decade of this century with the implementation of new improvements, under the digital transformation process. AI reaches the widest spheres of society, and it has a crucial impact on the use of technologies and information behavior. The article analyzes this impact and it is an invitation to the discussion on this topic. Design/Methodology/Approach: The qualitative methodology adopted comprises a literature review and descriptive and exploratory analysis of recent data. Results/Discussion: Individuals' information behavior is affected by AI in various facets, including the ways they search, process and share information, their critical attitude toward it, and their cognitive abilities. Conclusions: It emphasizes the need for continual research and reflection, with a critical and constructive focus on the progress of AI and its impacts, today and in the future, on information skills. It is also important to study the profound social changes that affect behavior.
