Abstract

En junio 2014, el IMARPE Huanchaco efectuó la delimitación y caracterización de bancos naturales de invertebrados marinos en las zonas intermareal y submareal de la Región La Libertad, que abarcó las islas Corcovado, Chao, Guañape (Sur y Norte) y Macabí. Se registraron siete especies de importancia comercial que conforman bancos naturales: Platyxanthus orbignyi (cangrejo violáceo), Thaisella chocolata (caracol negro), Octopus mimus (pulpo), Argopecten purpuratus (concha de abanico), Semele sp. (almeja), Emerita analoga (muy muy) y Pattalus mollis (pepino de mar).

ABSTRACT: In June 2014, IMARPE Huanchaco delineated and characterized the natural banks of marine invertebrates in the intertidal and subtidal areas of the La Libertad Region, which covered the islands Corcovado, Chao, Guañape (South and North) and Macabí. There were seven species of commercial importance that make up natural banks: Platyxanthus orbignyi (purple stone crab), Thaisella chocolata (chocolate rock shell), Octopus mimus (Octopus), Argopecten purpuratus (Peruvian scallop), Semele sp. (clam), Emerita analoga (sand crab) y Pattalus mollis (sea cucumber).
