Abstract

Antropoloji ya da insanbilim, 19.yüzyılın ortalarında bir tarih felsfesi olarak başlamış ve sonrasında, bir tür tarih bilgisi olarak gelişmiştir. Dünyanın her yerinde geçmişten günümüze yaşayan insanları konu edinen antropoloji, genellikle insanlar ve insan grupları arasındaki benzer ve farklı yanları saptamaya çalışır. Bu bağlamda antropolojinin sorduğu sorular sırasıyla, "insanlar ve toplumlar neden birbirilerine benzerler?", insanlar ve toplumlar neden birbirlerine benzemezler?", "insanlar ve toplumlar neden ve nasıl değişirler?" şeklinde özetlenebilir.
