The article presents an organised overview of onomatopoeia in Iraqw, a Cushitic language of Tanzania. The organisation of article follows that of the edited volume including a mandatory list of how certain sounds are represented. The article also present interesting properties of Iraqw sound symbolism and a the morphosyntax of a specific verbalizer for sound words.
