A Fénix Renascida, cancioneiro da poesia barroca portuguesa

Abstract

A 'Fénix Renascida' constitui o mais rico e mais significativo cancioneiro de poesia barroca portuguesa recolhida de diversos manuscritos que hoje se desconhecem; por outro lado, os cinco volumes que a compõem tiveram apenas duas edições, ambas no século XVIII, o que dificulta o acesso do leitor actual a este importante repositório poético. Estas foram as principais razões que motivaram a reedição desta obra, projecto em curso, cujo primeiro volume será brevemente publicado pela editora Angelus Novus, sob o patrocínio do IPLB. Dadas as especificidades quer das fontes usadas pelo editor, quer dos seus critérios editoriais, quer ainda dos problemas levantados pelos acrescentos da segunda edição, neste artigo equacionam-se questões relativas a) à fixação dos textos; b) à sua organização genológico- temática; e c) à sua atribuição autoral, tendo sempre por base a edição do primeiro volume preparada pelos autores.
